Flicky Wallace - Identity

To get a better view of if the initial identities I had designed fit with Flicky's photography I have mocked them up on her existing Cargo.

This is her current Cargo, which works well for viewing her photographs, it is just lacking a memorable identity, or something that gives more of a feel of who the person behind the photographs is.

These are the generic routes that most of the photographers have in mind when they are wanting branding. This is a common approach as it is un-eyecatching and therefore doesn't distract from the photo's.
I don't think this does Flicky's photographs justice as they are quite personal and carefully taken using a manual camera, whereas this typeface suggests cold, digital and mechanical.

Using a serif gives a much more natural and personal edge to the photographs

Another route to suggest would be an ornate logomark that reflects the delicate and considered photography but doesn't distract too much.

This loose FW has a manual feel to it that compliments the muted photography.

Too distracting

Too busy

Postal

This is the strongest route. Flicky's work has a lot of influence from travel, using this the logo could be based upon stamps that are put on envelopes when they cross borders. This gives a personal touch to the photographs and would also work very well for letterheads and mail outs.

Even without the excess decoration this still makes a strong identity.
