Balance, health, concentration.
Building on the 'Awaken Senses' route and the idea of balance and Zen I started to design a pack that would correlate together when viewed side by side on shelf.
This would consist of the balancing stones commonly associated with Zen and meditation.
This would consist of the balancing stones commonly associated with Zen and meditation.
I changed the name from Rejuvenate to Rejuve, as I Rejuvenate is too similar to 'Recharge' and 'Refuel' which is commonly associated with high sugar energy drinks, where this is not.
I tried making the type even more natural and 'meditation-ey' however I felt that this was untrue to the product as it was first made in Scotland.
After testing this net, I was able to determine what worked and what didn't. The bottom panels of the net were a faff, so I changed them. All sides looked incredibly bare and nothing really grabbed attention.
This is how the bottles will connect when on a shelf, to give the drink more presence.
Fattening out the type to give a clearer hierarchy between the name of the drink and the brand 'Purdeys'
As the packaging needs to be opaque I am going to store the drink in a white plastic bottle with a card wrap around the outside that the customer can remove and interact with.
This shows the outside and inside of the packaging. The nutrition information in inside the sleeve, leaving only essentials on the packaging you would see pre purchase. This allows the front to be cleaner unlike the cluttered wrap they currently use.
Despite the ovals balancing was the main concept, it just seemed to clutter the design and having more white space seemed the obvious route to go down.
The bottle itself will have a coloured label that contrasts the predominantly white packaging.
This is where the bottle will sit when the pack is opened after drinking.
I wanted the packaging to be easily removed, which using glue would not allow me to do, this will make recycling easier and also give the user more thought and consideration that you would expect from a slightly higher end product.
I tried perforating the edge but this proved messy
Using closed flaps at both top and bottom and also tabs on the side allow the package to be easily opened and closed.
This is the final net, the packaging connects without any glue so that the buyer can easily remove the outer to see the inside information and recycle the two different materials.
