Milkshake: Design Start

Fancy Milkshake

After defining the place in the market this drink will take I decided that I want the product to be very artisan and luxurious, this will also allow me to try new processes out that creating a budget, mass produced, style milkshake would not.

Naming

After brainstorming lots of words associated with milkshakes and flavours and cows etc. I decided that the name should be less about the product and more about the audience.

Brand Watch

The name Yazoo has nothing in common with milkshake, or any of the ingredients or processes involved with the milkshake itself. Instead it is to do with the feeling that the drink evokes and the excitement and energy associated with the young audience.

With this in mind I have named the product "White Smoke" with the tagline "Lavish Shakes".
I think White Smoke signifies something that is bad for you but makes you feel good, it targets an adult audience and clearly separates the product from the existing market.

Routes to Develop

Need to be careful not to look to much like a 50's Diner

Potential Lock-Ups

Potential tag on logos

The packaging could be textured to give extra class but runs the danger of looking tacky and obvious, I think it would be much nicer to keep it simple.
