The
milkshake market is mainly marketed towards a young audience with brands like
Frijj and Yazoo using bright colours and durable plastic packaging.
To
design the packaging for a milkshake that is marketed towards an older audience.
This will include bottle material and graphics, multipack containers and a
small amount of promotional material.
Research
will need to be undertaken to determine what are the main selling points for
adults and what aesthetics will catch their eye without the drink losing it’s
playful edge.
The
material of the packaging should be considered, if the packaging could be
sustainable it will have a much higher chance of getting noticed in packaging
design competitions. IOM3 and the Dieline are online outlets in which this
submission could be entered.
Background/ Considerations
Is
the product under an entirely new brand or does it place itself as a new
product under an existing company? (Yazoo etc.)
Milkshake
is marketed towards children however there is an increasing number of milk and
coffee based drinks that are intended for a young professional and adult
market.
