Tea Towel - Naming and Brand Development

Tea Towels

The idea of the product is that it develops as it is used, rather than being a fancy product that you are scared to use it is improved with use.

There will be 4 towels in the set each that feature the face of a person from a profession that typically gets dirtier as they work e.g. Rugby Player, Boxer, Builder, Chimney Sweep, Mountain Biker etc.

The idea is that a mundane task is made a little bit more fun as you are part of creating the work.

The tea towel can then be washed and used again.

I started with the name Mucky Chops but realised that it would be confusing what the product was so have decided to work with Dirtea Towels instead as this sums up the product - the idea being that it is supposed to get dirty.

Identity

The identity for Dirtea Towels needs to be playful and appeal to a young audience as well as adults as I think this product would be well suited as gifts for young people leaving home as a joke from an older relative.

Using the dimensions of the tea towel itself to create a unique lock-up

The brand logo will wrap over the top of the card used to hold the tea towel as a tea towel would sit if it were draped over an edge.
